Ramadan Tarteel Recitation Program at Qom Holy Shrine
IQNA – Like previous years, Quranic circles are held at the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom during the holy month of Ramadan in which the verses of the Quran are recited in Tarteel.
Tarteel is the Arabic word for hymnody. The term is commonly translated in reference to the recitation of the Quran “in proper order” and “with no haste”. It is the measured recitation of the Quran in rhythmic tones according to the rules that explain how to recite the Quran.
